Don't ask if I'm ready for my little girl to go to school for the first time. Okay I am and I'm not. On one hand this is normal, on the other hand she is growing up toooooo fast. She has so many questions. What will I do at school? What class will I be in? How many girls how many boys? Will my teacher be nice. Will I like my teacher. I answered question after question more than once. Ian her older brother stepped in.
Ian asked. "Mom do you want me to talk to Racheal about school. I am the closes to her grade you know?"
Surprised look on my face. "Why yes Ian that would be nice."
He sat down with his baby sister and chatted on for some time. Now this is the boy that didn't want his baby sister sitting next to him or even looking at him because she was a pest. Racheal seemed to be better for the conversation. She learned it was okay to be scared the first day even her big brother was scared now he is an old hand at this school thing. (He will be going into the 3rd grade.)
Now did I knit at all this weekend? You bet I needed something to calm my nerves. I'm making progress my ballet wrap and finished 2 pair of socks.
I finished the blue pair for Justin. He wanted a pair of socks like mine. I think they match well. First pair of self patterning yarn that I have gotten to match. Then I hit pay dirt with stripes matching up with the pink, green and orange stripe yarn. Things are looking better for me.
While I'm waiting for Lindsay to catch up knitting I'm going to work on my mystery stole and lunch bags for the kids. Lindsay, Kathryn and Racheal have up up their hands for a hand made bag. I'm all smiles here.
Justin just wanted to show off his socks. He wanted them on as soon as they came off the needles. I think he likes them. When he takes his nap I'm going to take them off and put them away till the weather gets cooler. It is way to hot for wool.
Happy knitting
Justin looks so proud of his socks. I love that picture...too cute!
